We believe the home is the primary location for faith formation.

We are excited to partner with Grant County congregations, parents, and caregivers to identify and share practices of faith that are embedded in everyday life and rooted in racial harmony. Through special events and opportunities for connection and education, we hope to see parents and caregivers develop an empowering conviction that faith formation is likely to occur within their care. Additionally, we hope to strengthen ties between congregational leaders and the parents and caregivers in their churches.

While there are many daily activities where we could focus our attention, we are using Deuteronomy 11 as our guide, meaning we are particularly focused on the spaces and times when we are talking with our children at home, on the road, going to bed, and getting up.

"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth."

DEUT. 11:18-21
